Amhran na Mara Ltd was set up in April 2023 in Galway and trades as Ceol na Mara Music and Performing Arts Academy. We started with 10 students and have now grown to over 70 students of all ages.

About me
I am a fully qualified Music teacher from Co. Kildare with 12 years experience. Having taught in music schools, primary schools and secondary schools both in Ireland and abroad, I decided to start my own music and performing arts school in 2023. My aim is to cater each lesson to the needs of my students and to help them reach their goals.

I studied a BA in Voice and Dance at The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in the University of Limerick including a study abroad at Ithaca College New York.

Professional Diploma in Music Education - University of Limerick.

All piano exams completed with The Royal Irish Academy of Music as well as teaching diploma.

12 years experience teaching in Ireland and Dubai.

Currently studying a masters in Special Education and Inclusion at DCU.

Teaching Experience
I have taught piano and singing lessons at music schools and privately for over 12 years all the way up to Grade 8 exams including university audition preparation for both degree and masters level entry auditions. I have taught primary and secondary level Music both in Ireland and Dubai. I have extensive experience teaching Junior Cert and Leaving Cert Music. I have directed and choreographed various musicals including Shrek, The Sound of Music, Matilda, Grease, All Shook Up and Alice in Wonderland both in Ireland and abroad. I have seen how the power of music can improve not only students' performance skills but also their well-being and confidence.
Instrumental and Theory Exams offered
If you are interested in taking exams, I teach the Royal Irish Academy curriculum as well as the ABRSM curriculum for piano, voice and music theory.
